I’ve been steadily working on Karen’s cowl this week. I’m hoping to have it finished by Thanksgiving. I frogged it twice, once for twisted stitches I noticed 9/10 rows in and the 2nd time for knitting where I should’ve purled and vice versa.

Now it’s perfect and I’m very very happy with it. I love knitting this cowl…it’s simple, fun, and pretty. I can’t wait to wear it!

Then there are the kids cowls I crocheted a few weeks ago. These are fun and quick to make….I think they like them. Aren’t the models adorable?

I’m glad I took these photos. I’m sure the rain will wash them away today. It’s moments like these I love to treasure…seeing inside the mind of my 5yr old.

30 Days of Gratitude Day 2: My Children

Nov2nd

Over the last few months I’ve spent a lot of time  focusing on what I don’t have, what I want, or think I need.
For the month of November I’m focusing on all that I have in my life to be thankful for. You can join me by posting on your own blog or leaving a comment.

I take my kids for granted more than I care to admit. Parenting them can be overwhelming at times, but it’s a joy more than anything else. Each one unique, creative and curious about the world. Seems like they were all just tiny babies not too long ago…. And time has gone faster with each one – didn’t think that was possible.
I can’t imagine life without them….I love them so much.

I’m also joining a Thankful Project with
The Artsy Girl and a Gratitude Challenge with Garden of Learning in giving thanks this month.

The kids love love love taking pictures and recording videos of themselves with my phone. The other day the girls discovered a button on my phones stock camera that gives very cool distortion effects.

I was in the kitchen doing the dishes and I kept hearing bursts of laughter coming from the living room. Then they showed me these pictures and it looks like Kiah took most of them.
She may be like me….always behind the camera.
