The process of creating is so satisfying.
You take nothing and turn it into any kind of something you want.
What I love most about creating is that there isn’t any one way to do it.
Creating with paint.
Organizing and creating spaces to enjoy books, puzzles, flashcards.
Ava researched bakeable clay on YouTube(she really is my child)so a trip to Hobby Lobby was in order to find it.
We now have a container full of baked clay goodies. The other creations aren’t labeled because I don’t know what they are and the kids don’t seem to either. They played with this clay for days and days.
I created a semi permanent space to knit while I watch Netflix and eat chocolate with flavored coffee nearby.
This Gaptastic Cowl has been in the works for close to a year. I
lost misplaced this project and found it last summer.
Hoping to have it finished and worn before winter is over.
I’ve been doing my best to foster creativity with the kids.
I love that they can make space and time for themselves. Now when it’s quiet it’s not because they’re getting into trouble, but because they are each in their own room or corner doing their own thing.
Pokemon is the latest craze around here at the moment. Ava is so much like me…..it scares me a little.
One of me is more than enough! She needs to keep busy and she’s always coming up with new ideas.
She figures out what it is she wants to do or make and she dives right in.
She asked for scrap fabric and got to work. The look of pride on her face when she finished stitching her Pokemon toy was priceless.
We’re currently out of stuffing, so she asked for cotton balls and when we couldn’t find those she decided that tissue would suffice.
I think we need to make another trip to Hobby Lobby. This time with a list.
She even made one for Samuel.
Mitten Sparkles…. just because she’s cute.
How do you foster creativity in your life?
