Over the last few years I’ve come to really appreciate the art of handmade items.
For me, handmade always made me think of grandma sitting on her porch with the cats and her cross stitch.
Now I see that being creative isn’t just for those trained in a certain art form, and it definitely has no age limit.
Etsy is a fabulous place for those who love to create and who love to shop handmade.
When Julia from Eternal Girl contacted me to see if I would be interested in doing a review and giveaway with her, I couldn’t say no!
I chose the Vanda Flower. I really liked the design and that it represented joy and happiness.
It’s lightweight and matches a lot of pieces in my closet.
I love the attention to detail, and the vintage setting of the necklace.
This is what Julia had to say about her creative process and shop.
I’ve always loved to draw ever since I was little. Putting together necklaces came about unexpectedly- I just had an urge to create. A few years ago, I ordered some necklace supplies and began experimenting. I was drawing lots of henna inspired designs at the time, and that’s what I ended up drawing for my jewelry. After about a year of making necklaces as gifts, my friends encouraged me to sell them online.
Eternal Girl jewelry is made of my own hand-drawn designs. Each drawing features symbolic images specific to henna tradition. My artwork gives me a chance to connect with individuals I wouldn’t normally interact with everyday. I love creating and keeping my mind focused through jewelry making. I keep in mind that with each piece I work on, someone will own, appreciate, and take care of the jewelry.
I feel a sense of connection through the transference of a simple object.
Julia would like to offer this Moon in Sunflower Necklace for the giveaway.
Hope you’re having a great weekend!
