Snapshots: Exploring The Virginia War Museum

I’m having fun playing with my new toy. Can you guess what it is? There are so many Museums to visit here and we’re just now making our way through them, after living here for 4yrs.
The Virginia War Museum was pretty fascinating….I figured Samuel would love seeing the tanks at the museum and I was right about that, but we weren’t allowed to take pictures inside. Tons of old news paper articles from the war, bullets, weapons of all sorts, uniforms, and a section on Women of War. Since we couldn’t take pictures inside I had to settle for the gorgeous weather outside. After the museum we went to a nearby park so the kids could burn even more energy.

  2. Huh, I’d never even *heard* of this museum. Just the Casemate. Samuel might like visiting the MacArthur memorial right across from the mall if he like this museum, though it’s a teeny tiny space. New toy? Hm, new phone? New camera?

  3. My new toy is my (new to me) iphone 🙂 I’m in love with the pictures it takes, especially outside shots. I still want a new camera, but I needed a new phone anyway, and there’s a ton of articles on how to get great pictures with the iphone.

I’ll have to check out the memorial. The war museum has a pretty rose garden and a park on the property, but we didn’t get a chance to check those out….next visit!
