on my needles

wearing a cowl-knitting a cowl

finished gaptastic cowl

It’s actually more like what’s finally come off my needles this week.

Her official name is the Skinny Pink Gaptastic Cowl.
Skinny because I used skinny yarn instead of the chunky yarn the original is made with.

The selfie was snapped right before jumping into the car to take the kids to Dr’s appointments.

This is my new favorite cowl…I love everything about it! It’s so soft with a bit of stretch to it. I can wear it looped twice or leave it long. I can wear it over my head and covering my ears, and it’s pink!

This is the perfect mindless knit for beginners. I cast on 200 stitches on sz9 circular needles and then k1 p1 for Row1 and p1 k1 for Row2  alternating each row until it was the width I wanted it to be.

Thanks for the baby knit suggestions from last weeks post.
I’m thinking of making either baby booties or a baby hat. I found some yarn in my stash that I think will work.

Not much reading going on this last week but I’m hoping to get back into it this weekend.
