  1. At first I wouldn’t have thought to associate the word “beautiful” with autism either. But I see my friend’s 21 year old daughter who is autistic and beauty is ALL I see – inside and out. She has grown to be an amazing young woman on her way to being a teacher.

  2. There is indeed beauty in how you show up…it is evident in your every post, the smiles on your sweeties faces, and in your own lovely smile, Darcel. 🙂

  3. Darcel,

I read your unschooling and Autism blog the day I entered to win the all geeked-out prize. Today I’m reading this blog finding out I was the prize winner (super happy btw)! I just want to say thank you, not just for the prize but more for what you are sharing with us. Knowledge is power and by sharing your personal life experience with us you are doing two important things. 1. Reminding us “spectrum moms” that we are not alone. 2. Giving us ideas to keep on and look for resources because even though this is not an easy journey is a beautiful one. Thank you again and you are such a wonderful, beautiful mom. I will take out time to continue to read your blog and learn more.

Jennifer, this is one of the most beautiful and heartfelt comments I’ve ever received.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read and share your thoughts with me.
I love to hear that sharing our journey is helpful to others.
